Join a free guided walk from Bath city centre, through Widcombe and in to Prior Park Landscape Garden, taking in beautiful views and local history along the way. Please meet outside Bath Tourist Information Centre. Free hot drink for those taking part in the walk.

Join one of our guides on a free walk around the landscape garden at Prior Park, taking in some beautiful views, history and wildlife.

Gorgeous garlic fortnight –

Sun 21st April – Sun 5th May,
Time: 10am – 5.30pm

Experience this aromatic plant and join us for tastings, cooking demonstrations, free recipe sheets and an opportunity to pick your own wild garlic. Check this listing over the coming weeks for the dates of the cooking demonstrations.

National Garden Scheme day (NGS) –

Sun 5th May,
Time: 10am – 5.30pm

Explore the garden carpeted in wild garlic at this time of year. All admission prices are donated to the NGS.

50 things’ launch day in Bath –

Tues 28th May,
Time: 10am – 4pm

Join us at Bathwick Hill in Bath for a fun-filled day of activities for all the family. Based on the National Trust’s ’50 things to do before you are 11 ¾’, staff and volunteers from various properties will be helping children to tick off a number of activities from the new list including flying kites, snail races, rolling down a hill and hunting for bugs. Properties include Bath Skyline, DyrhamPark, NewarkPark and PriorPark.

The Lord Chamberlain’s Men present ‘As You Like It’ –

Sun 2nd June,
Time: 6.30 – 8.30pm

Performed by The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, this all male troupe of travelling players breathes new life into this summer comedy classic. As You Like It runs the glorious gamut of pastoral romance: cross-dressing and love-notes; poetry, gentle satire and slapstick and passion. Adult £16, child £9.50, family £40.50.

Festival of Archaeology

Sat 27th July,
Time: 11am – 3.30pm

 Come and explore the archaeology in and around PriorPark. Take a history trail around the garden, learn all about archaeology and handle objects from the past, discover the history of PriorPark, Combe Down and Ralph Allen’s stone mines, rediscover how archaeology helped restore the wilderness and watch a stone mason carve with Bath stone. This event is in partnership with Heritage Services, Bath and North East Somerset Council.

The Pantaloon’s present ‘Sherlock Holmes’

Sat 27th July,
Time: 5.30 – 7.30pm

A brand new adaptation compiling of all the master detective’s best bits into a brand new adventure. Expect action, mystery and mayhem as Holmes and Watson team up to crack their most fiendish case yet – with the help of the audience!

Heritage Open Day

Time: 10am – 5.30pm

The garden is open for free on this day in association with Heritage Open Days. Join one of our guided tours throughout the day.

Bath Skyline

City to Countryside Walk

Time: 10am – 2pm

A free 6 mile guided walk of the Bath Skyline; the most downloaded walk in the National Trust. Suitable footwear and clothing a must. Please meet outside the Bath Tourist Information Centre and bring a packed lunch. No booking need – simply turn up!

Sunset Skyline Walk

Sun 21st April, – Time: 4.30pm – 8.30pm
Sun 19th May, – Time: 5.30pm – 9.30pm

Join our Skyline ranger on a free guided walk of the six mile Bath Skyline. Meeting point at American Museum overflow car park. Booking esstential as places are limited, please call 01225 833977.

Dawn Chorus Walk

Sun 5th May,
Time: 5 – 8am

£8.00 per person. Starting at Prior Park, using disabled car park. Breakfast is provided, booking essential – only 15 places. Call 01225 833977.

Work with the Ranger Day
